GIMP
Is a free software similar to Photoshop. Whilst not having all the same tools that a graphics designer might use, it is a really useful free tool. OBS
Is a free software similar to Loom, except it does more. It allows for screen capture, multiple source inputs like insert webcam, browser overlay, picture-in-picture and text titles.
If you use OBS on a Mac you may want a shadow highlight on your cursor. This one works for me $2
DAVINCI RESOLVE
This really powerful application is free to download, the free version has some restrictions, but if you are not a commercial editor, you won't notice them. It's brilliant and fun. In the onboard help menu there are tutorials.
